Barred Hamlets along with Butter Hamlets are the most common Hamlets we see. They are generally non aggressive towards anything not large enough to swallow whole. They get to about 5" in total length, and have the same requirements as Groupers. Typically, we get a lot of these during the winter months. There are actually two types of barred hamlets, the typical barred and the Florida barred. They are differentiated by the shape of the middle stripe on their body, towards the bottom of the belly. We sell them both as "Barred".
