Brittle Starfish, are five legged starfish that have a hair like follicles are their arms. They are mostly nocturnal and hang out under rocks during the day, although they can become active at feeding time. They are reef safe, and come in a multitude of different species. We sell them all as Brittle Stars, with the exception of the Red Brittle Star. The reds are a dark brown/black on top, with a distinct blood red coloring underneath. As with most starfish, they can lose appendages and regrow them after time. Since they are "brittle", use care in handling so they don't lose part of an arm.
