Dragon's Breath (Halymenia dilatata) is probably the most popular macro algae. It typically is a deeper red, and the branches look like flames. As with most macro algaes, it does best in a refugium where it helps reduce nitrates and phosphates. It can be grown in lower light conditions than other macros and prefers a higher flow (moderate to high). It can also be tumbled gently with air stones.
