We sell mostly O. briareus of the larger species (although there occasionally will be O. vulgaris), and O. joubini for the pygmy octopus. The majority of the time, octopus are available from October through April when the waters are cooler. Pygmy's are mostly available from November through February. All octopus, regardless of size age and species need specific requirements. They need perfect water conditions, a meaty diet, and most importantly an extremely tight fitting lid on their tank. They are extremely intelligent, and will take advantage of the slightest opportunity to escape. They make wonderful pets, and are a heck of a conversation piece with friends and family.
