Orange Files grown to roughly 2', so a very large aquarium is necessary. They look very different from juvenile to adult, although the body frame is the same. They are a slender fish, with black stripes as juveniles, but as adults they lose the black markings and get orange speckles on a silver body. They need a meaty diet and are not as aggressive as the heavier bodied files. This is another fish that is most commonly found in the winter/spring months when the water temps are cooler.
