The Tulip snail is a large carniverous snail found in the Caribbean and Gulf of Mexico. They can get large (up to 9"). They are good for FOWLER tanks (not running copper) for helping clean up excess food left over from messy eaters. They will however, eat any other snails or conchs. Best in a covered aquarium, as they have been known to climb out. Occasionally, we sell Red Tulip snails as well. These are much more rare, and I don't know if it's a color morph or a separate species. Otherwise, care is the same as the Tulip. We sell them as smalls (2") or less, mediums (up to 4"), and anything over 4" would be a large.
