Yellowhead jawfish are a beautiful pearlescent fish, starting with a yelllow head, and the body changes over to a blueish pearl white. Since they live in burrows, they need a deep sand bed to feel comfortable in your aquarium. They can be finicky eaters to start, but will eventually eat most any offerings. They are prone to jump when startled, so make sure your tank is covered. Awesome personalities, these little guys make great additions to a reef tank or non aggressive FOWLR tank. These are only available in warmer months, as when our waters cool off in the Fall and Winter, they move out, presumably to deeper water. They usually start being more common starting in May.
